VocabularySpellingCity Selected for the Google Education App PackGoogle, to make finding, deploying and managing web apps even easier for schools and school districts, worked with educators and the community to select some outstanding educational applications to be available at launch of their integrated environment for education. These applications are tightly integrated with the Google Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education to provide streamlined access for educational purposes.

VocabularySpellingCity has established a tight technical integration so that users (teachers and students) can access their web-based educational applications with their Google account. For instance, users can easily access their VocabularySpellingCity account without the need to remember and enter new login and password credentials.

John Edelson, the Mayor (President) of VocabularySpellingCity said: “For schools and districts, the integration of educational apps on the Chromebooks provides an integrated environment where teachers and students can get into their VSC accounts without additional logins or passwords. The benefit for them having immediate one-click access is significant for ease of use and efficient use of classroom time. We’re pleased to be included in the list of educational apps for Chromebook administrators.”

Grade-level application packs are groups of Chrome Web Store apps that integrate tightly with Google’s suite of Apps for Education, divided by grade levels to meet different classroom needs. These packs are installable from the Chromebook management console. Many of them are free and Google has worked with the app makers to offer discounts for bulk purchases.
