The Complex Number System	Perform arithmetic operations with complex numbers. Represent complex numbers and their operations on the complex plane. Use complex numbers in polynomial identities and equations.
Vector & Matrix Quantities	Represent and model with vector quantities. Perform operations on vectors. Perform operations on matrices and use matrices in applications.

High school number and quantity studies build on a foundation of counting numbers that carries on from grade school and middle school all the way through 12th grade. Initially, this includes studying rational numbers and fractions, irrational numbers, and real numbers. At the high school level, math dealing with number and quantity expands to include exponents as well as imaginary and complex numbers.
