Manage Student Data with Clever

VocabularySpellingCity, Science4Us Partner with Clever Software Service

VocabularySpellingCity and sister site Science4Us have partnered with Clever software service to make it simpler and safer for schools and districts to use the online learning programs.

With Clever, VocabularySpellingCity and Science4Us are able to connect with any school’s student information system, and that data will be funneled to the learning sites. The information that’s transferred is protected with encryption.

Now students and teachers can also directly access VocabularySpellingCity and Science4Us, along with other learning apps the school uses, via a single sign-on. The need to remember multiple usernames and passwords is eliminated.

Administrators and educators have the option of selecting the student data they wish to transfer to the learning sites.

VocabularySpellingCity builds K-12 literacy skills in vocabulary, spelling, phonics, and writing. Educators and families can customize more than 35 engaging activities for students at every learning level, creating their own word lists or using thousands on the site. The learning activities support educational standards, to provide practice and to supplement any curriculum.

Science4Us is a complete, standards-based, core science curriculum that delivers digital and real-world science experiences to students in grades K-2. It aims to provide a solid foundation of fundamental science concepts for students in their formative years, upon which a deep understanding and interest in science can be built.

“VocabularySpellingCity and Science4Us are exciting applications, and great examples of the potential for technology to create a personalized learning experience for each student,” said Dan Carroll, co-founder and chief product officer at Clever, now used by more than 53,000 schools in the U.S.”We’re thrilled to have these programs on the Clever platform and are looking forward to our ability to improve learning outcomes together.”

John Edelson, founder of VocabularySpellingCity and Science4Us, said the streamlined integration will help to increase the programs’ availability for many schools which, in the past, have had to create separate interfaces for each learning app. The new platform allows schools to circumvent that time-consuming process – an ideal fit with his products, whose aim is to help make learning less cumbersome and more enjoyable.

“Our partnership with Clever will improve user experience for administrators, teachers and students alike,” said Edelson. “Simplifying the account implementation and login process allows everyone to focus on learning with VocabularySpellingCity’s powerful and engaging literacy tools, and with Science4Us’ foundational science curriculum.”
