To begin using VocabularySpellingCity, free student users can find lists saved by registered teachers or parents. Students should go to Search and type in the username of their teacher or parent to find their homepage and word lists. We recommend that students bookmark their teacher’s/parent’s homepage for easy access.

Students can also search for their school name. The school homepage will include a list of all registered teachers. Select the teacher’s name to be taken to their homepage.

My teacher told me to use VocabularySpellingCity – why can’t I find my list?

If you are unable to locate your teacher’s homepage using Search, your teacher may not have an account. Try searching by school instead. Clicking on the school name will open the school’s VocabularySpellingCity homepage, which lists all registered teachers at the school. Just select your teacher’s name to be taken to their homepage to find their lists. Parents can also create accounts and enter their child’s word lists if the teacher does not have an account.

How do I find the teacher’s lists?

Scroll down to the bottom of any page on our site and find Search. Select Teachers/Parents to search by the teacher’s name or Schools to find the homepage for the school, which includes a list of all registered teachers.

Do I have to enter my own list to play games on the site?

Although you can enter and use your own word lists, VocabularySpellingCity offers a wide variety of lists that you can use to play our games. When you register for an account, you’ll be guided to List Management, where you can import word lists or create your own.
